“Although my memory is fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great savior.” John Newton
John Newton’s quote certainly resonates with my life. All praise and glory to Jesus Christ who saved me from my sins.
At ODCC, I am currently involved in teaching adult bible study on Wednesday evenings. In the past, I have also taught adult Sunday school and will likely do so in the future now that Covid restrictions are easing. In other churches, I have taught children, youth, and adult Sunday schools, men’s bible study, and small groups along with children’s church and AWANA programs. In addition, I served in jail ministry for 10 years in the DuPage County jail.
I find studying and leading study in God’s Word to be very profitable in equipping me for every good work. Reading the Word of God never grows old as it is indeed ‘living and active’.
My wife Lana and I moved to Ogden Dunes in August 2014, and we joined ODCC shortly after. Prior to moving here, we raised three daughters in Carol Stream, IL. Lana served as a deacon at ODCC before going home to the Lord in November 2017. I have now been blessed with two granddaughters.
